So what do you recommend?

I am looking for comments/advice from all of you moms out there as to which diaper brands you like best for both their effectiveness and/or price. I am still planning on using the all in one cloth diapers that I have as well as G-diapers but recognize that I will be combining these with disposables. In addition, I plan to use disposables exclusively at first until the baby grows into the cloth diapers I have (at about 12-15lbs). SO I would love to hear the expert opinions out there!

I have tried quite a few different kids of diapers and here are my recommendations.

The absolute BEST are Pampers, hands down. For a newborn, the swaddlers are the best. I like the baby dry now because Grant is a pee-er and always soaks through. But, Pampers are awesome.

Huggies are ok but not up to par. We had lots of poop-splosions with those.

Luvs were pretty decent but we had a few leaks. Not like Pampers.

The Target brand and Meijer brand are crap. They are crunchy feeling and small. They are like putting paper towel on your kid. However, the Target brand wipes are the best.

Hope this helped!

I love using cloth diapers. It's totally a personal thing though - there are SO many options you really won't necessarily like what another person recommends.

First off - it's not gross at all to wash them, and it's super easy to do (as easy as having to take diaper genie bags to the garage, certainly).

I would say the best option would be to get a few different types to try so you can make the decision on what fits the baby best and what you like to use the most. The easiest way to do that is with this cool promotion.

But do let me know if you have questions too, I cloth diapered my daughter until she potty trained at 2 except for airplane travel. It's great. :)

I have only tried Pampers and Huggies and I have to say I have never had a problem with Pampers so I stick to those. Swaddlers for newborn, Baby Dry or Cruisers when their bigger. I can count on one hand how many leaks we have had and that is with Grace sleeping 13 hours over night.

Also, IMO Huggies Natural Care wipes are the best. The Pampers ones not so good.
